About Us

Petticoat Fair opened in 1964 on Guadalupe Street in Austin. Owners Bob and Betty Andrews’ concept was to provide a service to all women in need of intimate apparel. As the business grew, the Andrews moved the store to Highland Mall and eventually to Northcross Center, where it is located today. The principles of bra fitting and customer service have remained the same since the store’s opening. Every woman is treated with respect and given one-on-one attention and is helped to feel comfortable and confident in properly fitted undergarments. The techniques Betty learned in corsetiere school and other training courses are still used in the store today, which is now owned by their youngest son, Kirk Andrews, and run by Emily Van Court. Betty is now semi-retired but can often be seen around the store. Emily and the entire team at Petticoat Fair are committed to continuing and expanding on the tradition of servicing women that has been the foundation of Petticoat Fair for 45 years.

Emily – Store Director & Buyer

Krissi – Assistant Manager, Fitting Specialist

• She has been at Petticoat Fair two years. She received a degree in fashion design from the University of North Texas.
• Favorite part about her job: helping women feel more comfortable and confident in their appearance, and helping them find items that will enhance their lives.

Cindy – Post Surgical Assistant Manager, Fitting Specialist

Julie – Fitting Specialist

• She has been with Petticoat Fair for over sixteen years.

• Favorite part about her job: allows her to meet people and finds helping them to be very rewarding when they leave happy and satisfied with a properly fitted bra.

Tina – Fitting Specialist

• She has been with us at Petticoat Fair for six years.
• Favorite part about fitting: educating women on how their bras should fit.

Katy – Fitting Specialist

• Fitting at Petticoat Fair since January 2010.
• Favorite part about her job: working with people and giving every woman, no matter what size, the opportunity to have a great fitting, comfortable bra.

Vanessa – Fitting Specialist

• Fitting at Petticoat Fair since August 2010 and came with 3 years of previous lingerie experience.
• She likes changing the way a woman feels in her clothes with a great fitted bra.

Lea – Fitting Specialist

• She has been at Petticoat Fair since January 2011 and came with 3 years of previous lingerie experience.

Kerala – Fitting Specialist

• She has been at Petticoat Fair since February 2011.
• She loves being able to help women improve their comfort and confidence. She enjoys meeting our customers, addressing their concerns and finding what works best for each woman.

Allie – Operations Manager, Fitting Specialist

• She started at Petticoat Fair in 2004 while at The University of Texas.

Betty "Mrs. A" - Store Founder

• Opened Petticoat Fair in 1964.
• Favorite part about fitting: the customer's response after a fitting that meets their wants and needs.
